Not in top 5.?

Just had an off-line conversation with a mate, will any1 out of the top 3 or 5 be remembered.?..is everyone just watching taking notice of the top 3/5.? do the rest matter.??.....

is winning and watching the top spots all that matters to the spectators and racers alike...

I think everyone but the top 3 or 5 will be remembered, coz they're all on here moaning about it all the time

Winning would be lovely - and so would winning the lottery:smug:
but happy to do the best we can, with what we have, is our goal. Getting the best out of the trotter mobile, with the rider doing his best too is our goal...

and you Phil?

I think the answer given will differ for everyone. For those of us racing I think we'll remember the people around us in the field and the top fella's. And also where your mates are if they are elsewhere in the field.

People looking at the series who have a monster and don't know anyone might take more interest in the leading monster runners and vice versa for the SS's.

I also think that people watching the series who know people riding (most of the DSC!) will know where their mates are, and who their closest rivals are etc. For example, the BHC crew are behind you and Ali.

Its a subjective question to answer. What were you thinking?

from a spectator point, its how yer mates do that count and a top 3 = bit MORE beer!! Other than that, Domski spot on - those who winge (or possiby crash!!) the most will be remebered coz they are the ones most talked about

for me i think getting on the grid is a massive effort and achievement.....it certainly would be shame is the masses only care about top 3-5 although i cant see the "DSC" looking at the DD series in that way....

For me i want top 10 finish and to be the first 675 across the line at the end of the season......im not in to win sure would be nice but im happy doing the best i can and getting on the grid.

guess your name will go down in the logs for all eternity then m8................ :frog:

If I would like people to remember me, it wouldn't be for my riding skills. I think a lot of other things are more important.

Domski is a good example.

I'll remember him because he gives me advice and try to help me, not because he went in the grass and almost destroyed 2 bikes and an arm wanting to be fast :lol::lol::lol::lol:

(just called Rich, apparently raising my bike will be more complex than expected, he told me about cutting my frame... I would prefer to avoid this... an Ohlins shock absorber may be the only reliable solution:( )

That may be how it's viewed by people outside the DSC, other racers for example but not how it will work for people in the DSC IMO.

I think it will be different for all sorts of people looking at it. If it's non-DSC people then it depends on why they are looking at our series. If they are racers they may be looking at our laptimes and who is fastest etc. That sort of thing.
