Most popular mods Well I know this has probably been posted before but can we have a run down of the most popular mods. I'm new to this website as I've finally acquired a dream - it's only taken me ten years but there you go. |
Are you including further rider skills or training? If not, start by reducing the gearing so it's more tractable in everyday use, get the suspension "tuned" to your bodyweight and riding style, then fit some Termi's followed by a lightweight flywheel and lighter wheels :biaggi: Alternatively, save up yer dosh and buy a more powerful model ;) |
14t sprocket on the front 180 rear tyre (probab have already if its a 748) obviously termi's open clutch cover slipper clutch if you do trackdays |

So long as you don't mind replacing clutch plates every couple of thousand miles ;) |
i've had mine in for at least 4k now never touched it and still seems fine. i do get the slipper working too! |
Hi Rob, In order of overall preference and value for money - 1. 14 tooth front sprocket - £15 2. Pirelli Diablo Corsas (rear 180) - great for road and track - up to £200 3. Overbore clutch slave cylinder - Casoli £80 4. Fit 4 - pad brake calipers - you will not believe the difference - £200+ 5. Slipper clutch for the track (ST4s plates to improve basket life) - from £400 6. Do something to let it make a proper noise. Anything from new system to coring the silencers. £0 to £1,000 plus 7. Lightweigt wheels - if your still feeling flush - £1,000 if new Don't forget crash protection - bungs, case armour etc. Spinoli |
Nobody mentioned suspension mods :puzzled::puzzled::puzzled: You not worried about the bike handling properly then? I'd get a shock and fork rebuild before buying exhaust, P4 calipers, £1000 wheels or a slipper clutch :o |
carbon fibre .. and some more carbon fibre .. and a little more carbon fibre, start with heel plates and go from there .. and a smattering of magnesium .... |
And - Huggerrrrrrr! |
