More mechanical advice needed...

Does anyone know how I can replace the fuel filter on my 1999 900ss?
And where can I purchase?
thanks
joe

It's in the tank and is easily replaced, but very fiddly as you need to first take of the whole petrol cap ring, then undo the hose clamps, then get your hand inside and pull out the pump and filter.

Filters are about £15 from a dealer, or you can pick them up from ebay for about the same or sometimes less.

Its an easy job.
If you intend doing your own maintenance I would recommend getting a Haynes manual, the fuel filter replacement will be in there as will all other maintenance you need to do.

Do as Antony says to get to the filter and then go to your local car spares shack or Halfords and get a Fram G2 equivalent (Fit's a mid 80's Ford Ranger but the Fram G2 bit should do it). Should cost £4-5 tops.
