a lil more mechanical advice...thanks Iconic & everyone else... thanks Iconic... I changed out the fuel filter & started her up before I installed the petrol caps back(so I can see if everything looked right). It quickly filled the filter back up w/fuel, but I noticed some bubbles coming up from underneath the fuel pump....somewhere between the pump & the bottom lower wall of the tank...not sure if it was from vibration or what. Is that normal? thanks anyone joe |
Hmmmm.....having drained the system, there MUST be some air in there to be displaced but - I'd have thought most of it would go forward to the carbs. I guess some could be trapped in the tank gubbins. As long as this bubbling does not continue I would not worry too much. Puts on his best Macho voice " Just go out and thrash it for a while Marra"!!!! ;) Frank |
Have you checked the fuel vent tube. Great little piece to look over, but oh so important. A small kink can limit the amount of full that can get sucked out. Just a thought. Also, the accelerator circuit on the carbs may be dirty leaving you high and dry at the light, but ready for normal launches. |
