Gearing

Hi all

Should I be thinking about gearing or leaving as standard?

I am off to Oulton and Snetterton this weekend. So if I should fiddle with gearing does any one have recommendations for those tracks for a 600ss?

cheers!

Gearing won't really come into its own until you know that you are maxing out to the limit prior to braking. As a general rule you want to be pulling max RPM at the end of the longest straight in top gear.

So for instance at Mallory I'm snicking 5th gear going over the start line then just hit max revs before a quick roll off and back on again for Gerards.

You may feel happier at first coming down to 4th gear for Gerards.
