race bodywork does anyone have any, or know of any, used race bodywork for sale - i don't mind how tatty it is? i have found a couple of companies who still list new race bodywork but it is quite expensive. |
Have you tried these guys? Several members have used them and they seem pretty good quality. Prices aren't bad either: nose = 40 Euros seat = 80 Euros sides = 60 Euros each So about 240 Euros for a whole set, or about 170 quid! You can get the nose with or without the headlight cutout. I think Antonye used them for this DD racer. |
what's it for?888?851? |
I'm probably not going to race my 888 any more - what do you need? If you are going racing, you will need to sort out an undertray as nobody makes ACU-spec race bodywork for the 888. I cut and shut a 916 one and trimmed the bottom of the sidepanels to fit. Obviously ignore the above if its only for trackdays! I can also vouch for the stuff from Germany, I had a seat and nose fairing for my DD racer and fit and finish was pretty good. [Edited on 16-6-2005 by paynep] |
thanks for the advice guys bodywork is for my 888 strada and is just for trackdays (not talented enough/ wealthy enough to race). 'Paynep': I am after nose cone and side panels. cheap price is more important than good condition. I would be greatful if would consider selling yours. could you u2u me with price/ details? thanks |
I got my SP5 panels from Qb Carbon last year.About £300 i think, for seat, nose and both side panels. The holes were not pre-drilled,which was fine('cos they never line up any way!)They fitted very well, the only bit i had to cut was the inside of the air vents in the nose cone,as they were too long. |
