Where to fit the power commander.

Hi guys i need some help, it was my birthday on the weekend and couldnt beleive it when i was given my present from my wife and kids, total shock when i realised i was the proud owner of a full leo vince 57mm system and a usb pclll. So hear is the help i need im pretty handy on the spanners so fitting the system is no props but i need to know where everyone is fitting the pclll ie location, and then the next question is do i download one of the maps on the pc website but would like to add thay dont list a leo vince system just a 57mm termi but cant really see any difference, or do i get it mapped on a dyno? before i forget the bike is a 04 749r. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

will have a look at the location of mine tomorrow. for what its worth i would take it all to jhp and let them set it up.

My power comm is fastened to the battery with velcrow ? I spoke to JLP re system and he has some maps for the vince system. Give him a call he`s a really helpful guy. Best of luck !!:sing:

The recommended location from dynojet is to stick the power commander onto the battery with the little bits of velcro provided. The lead out of the pc then runs under the airbox and round to the connector on the base of the airbox.

tricky.

JHP do a fixing for the PC which is much better than the velcro provided.

Yeah, the velcro things a bit naff. JHP mount it on a nice piece of carbon on the other side to the battery.

Have a look at this, all done by JHP, it's only a small photo of the r/h side of my bike, carbon plate mounted to the frame with q/shifter and PCIII mounted to that.

Nice pressie, wouldn't mind that myself! John's probably got a few "base" maps for it, although every bike is different I guess

With respect to JPM, I don't think that picture does it justice.
Looks pretty neat when you see it in real life.
Plus, from JPM's thread re his battery inflating to ginormous size I think you'd be better off mounting it on the right.

Mr Boyo

Not knowing where you are based , I've recently had a Leo Vince fitted and it was dailed in at HM Racing - Nr Orpington - tel : 01689 856595 2 hrs on the dyno.
Now running v.sweet.
