Being ill at Glastonbury! :barfy:Just started to feel well enough to post, after getting back from Glastonbury,6am Saturday morning!I've been working there since Sat 18th.It was fantastic until all the punters turned up,they ruined the atmosphere, made it too crowded, you had to queue for everything, selfish tw**ts. All the staff on site were having a chilled out time until all the weekend hippies turned up.:lol:And to cap it all i managed to contract a virus, which after 2 1/2 days of making me feel poorly, revealed itself in all its glory, and i was left unable to walk, stand or sleep.:( All this means i did'nt get to see any bands, did'nt get to drink or enjoy the monday night workers party!!!!!!!! AND I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER TWO YEARS FOR THE PLEASURE! Sorry, had to get it off my chest:devil: |
Was it the mudbath everyone said? What's it like being ill with those dreadful toilet facilities. Rhetorical question, that 2nd one. Please don't give the details. :frog::frog: |
:saint:Feeling much better now,i can even walk properly! The rain was amazing, within about 1 1/2 hours we had about 6 inches of water in our yard! But it did disappear as quickly as it came. The toilets can be bad,but they are emptied and cleaned every day.The experienced campers only use them at night (they stink when hot) plus there are no queues.Baby wipes are the best invention ever, and you should never leave home without them! They even remove grease from hands! Another downer was going back on Thursday, only to discover some scrote had stolen our caravan,it was there on the wednesday,so a waste of 5 hours travelling to go and get it,and then home again empty handed.Nothing special, just somewhere warm and dry to sleep. So if your around the west country and see an 80's vintage 2/3 berth caravan with a DSC sticker on it's arse, burn it for me:D |
Glad to hear you're better mate, now get out on that bike and hear those Termis rumble :D |
