Starter solenoid? \'It It \'Ard With A \'Eavy \'Ammer!
 

I never realised you could do that.
Like plenty of other peeps, I suppose, I've clouted a car starter solenoid when it started sticking. But never thought to do it with a dinky little bike unit.

So when pressing the starter gave zero response, I took off the fairing and battery, cleaned the connections, removed the solenoid, clened it's connections, put it all back togetherm and... nothing.:(

Rang louigi for some pointers. He advised the hammer. After a couple of attempts, job's a good 'un.

I'll be bearing that in mind in future. New solenoid going on tonight.
