Anybody got Sky+? Hi guys, With Sky+, can you record one channel as you watch another channel? Thanks, Neil. |
Yes you can |
Yep, you can record both the channel you are watching and another channel. And watch a play back of a previously recorded program (I think) It does in fact record the program you are presently watching without you specifically asking it to. So if you have been watching a program from the start and wish that you had been recording it, you press record and it will have saved the program from the point where you started watching it, not from the point you pressed record. The marketing says that you can pause live TV which is true, but you can in fact rewind live TV provided that you have either been recording it or watching it. Its the greatest thing since the last greatest thing!!! ;) Tim |
Woo-hoo!!!! Goodbye Telewest, hello Sky+!!!! Thanks fellas!!! Neil. |
wot he said. plus 5.1 surround sound if you have the right amp. It's the daddy. |
It just gets better and better!:D:roll: |
I'm guessing telewest and NTL etc will catch up though, it's only the STB I guess |
or get a hard drive recorder. not as good but not bad |
You can do any 2 things on Sky +. Record whilst watching comething else, record 2 things at once or watch and "live pause". But you cannot pause live TV if you are recording another channel because that would be 3 things (it uses the 2nd channel to do the save for the live pause). You can also "series link" which is really useful feature. Set a program to record and hit the green button to "series link". It then records every episode with no further attention. Brilliant. |
I've been wanting to change from Telewest to sky+ because of these features. Telewest aren't marketing any changes to their packages so ... could be time to make the jump. Been waiting for a good special to come in from Sky ... oh and a bit of motivation. |
