Anyone else bought/fitted slipper from Nick via Ebay?

Specifically the 4 post one.
Has anybody had any problems fitting these? I have fitted mine to the bike usuing the correct nut and spacer as per Nick`s instructions, fitted the clutch pack, pressure plate. springs and caps....the problem arises when after tightening up the spring cap retainin bolts it locks the clutch solid ie the springs are too compressed!
Open to suggestions on what i have overlooked/just can`t see for looking at it... and yes, before you suggest it all parts are correct and stack height is also spot on.

Thanks in advance.

The spring caps are a diffrent depth. You need shorter caps

Sorry you have it the wrong way round, the spring caps are if anything too short.

What do i know..................

Andy, have looked at the clutch again and when tightened up, half the bolt head sticks out the top of the spring caps, thats how shallow these ones are.... any shallower and it`d basically be just a flat washer!
Thnx anyway.

On my 6 ti post stm the bolt heads are flush with the cap tops.

Did you change the top hat spacer?

I don't need a spacer for MY Top Hat, my head is quite big enough thank you!

Apologies for the temporary hijack of this thread but couldn't resist that one!

Can't really speak for the seller, but his latest Haga bodywork isn't original as listed on Ebay, no vents in nosecone or side fins, and the paintjob is out by a fair bit

I have bought one of his 6 post slippers and all we (read Nelly) had to do was find another nut to fit the bugger on. That's it.

Great clutch. I didn't want a 4 post one though because it didn't have the ball bearings and therefore would need more maintenance.
