Frame sliders
 

Has anyone used these frame sliders?

The underbodywork look interesting, or do they defeat the object.
Would 'thru bodywork' framesliders protect the body work that much anyway?

I wouldn't bother with any crash protectors on 748-999 range of bikes, as most kits bolt to the frame, I've seen several bikes which have been down the road with these type of protectors fitted, most do more harm than good by splitting the frame tube where the protector fits, so not only do you need plenty of new plastics you also need a new frame

I bought these for a 748, they fit through the engine mount bolt between the V.

This has to be the strongest part of the frame/engine. That said i decided not to fit them as the threads that i had read on the site councilled against.

Seems conclusive - no frame sliders for me.

Guy's, came to the same concluesion on frame sliders / crash bungs ..... can create more damage than they save.

I have gone for R & G spindle bungs and fixed foot pegs that won't fold up should it go down the road.

The other bonus of the rear spindle bungs is that they will also work as pick up points for a rear paddock stand.
