Open clutch covers...

Whilst on tour recently I bought a lovely titanium open clutch cover for my SS and was dead chuffed with the look and additional sound (well noise!). However I noticed yesterday that the springs holding the plates are going rusty. :puzzled:

At the risk of sounding a muppet have I missed something or is this normal? I know I can buy coloured pressure plates but dont what to do about the springs - anyone have any suggestions for me?

Cheers.

Yep - you need to buy stainless steel springs. You can get them off eBay, or a Ducati dealer or specialists like Nelly at Cornerspeed.

Just call Nelly, he does a spring, cap & bolt set in stainless steel...

All depends if you like shiny bling bling bits on your bike.

If not you could always take them off, degrease them and give them a couple of coats of satin black paint .... £1.99 from the local car shop.

Think that's more the water/rust being generated on the plates
