totally-- i think ??!!:puzzled::puzzled: well it completely died whilst motoring along - one cylinder would have kept going but sound like a bag of **** !! |
thanks very much !! gives me something to start with . would it have completely cut out at speed ?? and died no matter how i opened her up ? |
My monies on ya coil, make sure you get an 05 replacement |
i'm prety sure its never been on 1 cylinder.(both hot etc) when i last got it serviced (march) because of all the threads on here i asked them to check-- they said i had the "latest"coils. i have just disconnected pc111 and nailed it-- didn't miss a beat. only had time for 10 miles this did not start earlier until 15 or so miles. need a good blast with phone and recovery card i guess !! thanks for all your ideas |
arn't they the worst ?????????????????? :(:(:( |
Went through the same with mine, and initially things were pointing to the PCIII, JHP spent god knows how many hours (and at the drop of a hat - top service as ever) looking at mine, unplugged the PCIII and voila sprang into life, had it running for a good hour or so and didn't miss a beat. Then John pointed out that the PCIII only does fuel mapping nothing more nothing less, soon after she started playing up again, eventually both coils replaced, PCIII re-connected - problem solved |
Could it possibly be the coils getting hot, then breaking down?? |
i have had a breakdown with pc111 when i got it wet inside - it is capable of killiing it dead.... it was hot when it happened.. could be on to something-- but both at same time ?? |
It's gonna be a process of elimination, I'd disconnect the PCIII and see if that fairs any better get a good couple of hours under your belt then reconnect and do the same again. If it fails with it disconnected go for the coils |
