Pain in the neck Got a bit of a medical problem at the moment(No,not that sort of problem you fool!)I`m still waiting for xrays and scan results to come back, should be Monday, but i think my median nerve is being trapped in my spine at my neck. This renders my left arm completly useless,it`s a bit like someones hit your funny bone with a hammer, can`t ride me bike,or do anything that involves tilting my head back as this seems to trigger the pain.I`m hoping this can be corrected by physio/chiropracter. Has anyone else suffered from this,it`s so bad at the moment that I went to test drive a new car in case I`ll have to sell the 888(which I`ll put off till the absolute last minute!) |
sorry to hear that graham, sounds very painfull. A good friend of mine has suffered from a similar problem for a long time. He's been told that surgery may make the problem a lot worse,so has resigned himself to putting up with it, and he seems to make adjustments for the problem, Not an ideal situation by any means. Hope you get it all sorted out for best mate, you can't sell that T8. cheers robin |
My chiropracter is hopeful Robin, but won`t commit untill he see`s the xray/scan results.Looks like he`ll be taking most of my money for the next few months. |
Looks like he`ll be taking most of my money for the next few months. [/quote] yep, they are good at doing that aswell.;);) take it easy mate. |
I have this, as well as lots of lower back problems, when I had my last MRI my chiropractor stopped treating me. My surgeon has told me mobility might improve but no guarantee for pain. He also told me it may improve over time itself and that I wasn’t doing any harm as long as I Lay-up when the pain really kicks in. I have found that anti-inflammatory as soon as I get the first bad pain seems to shorten the length of time out of action. The neck one is a bugger, I get it looking up. I did an acoustic screen in a church last year. I was standing with the vicar and pointed up to the Gothic arch five meters above us. Next thing I’m on the floor telling him not to worry I will be ok in a minute or two. It can be a real asset to the sympathy close. If you can afford to keep your bike till next spring wile you have a winter off you could be back on next year I have lived with this for years now seems to be surgery is a last option in a lot of cases :) |
Anti-inflammatorys defiantly help, and yes looking up is the killer,I`m just thinking the worst at the moment,Ducati riding position etc,I`ll know more Monday when I go back. Anyone want to swap a Multistrada for a trick 888:o:puzzled: |
Bummer mate, put these thoghts of getting rid of the t8 out of your mind ,Sparkin without a T8 is like fish without chips! hope you get it sorted Butch |
Thanks Butch,as you can imagine on a bit of a downer at the minute:( took a test drive in a RX8 yesterday, which for a four door saloon was pretty entertaining;) and redlines about the same as the T8:o:o.....................but it`s not a 888 thou:rolleye: |
