Bent Ohlins Fork A nasty surprise Having stripped down the bike after Sunday's off, I have discovered that my r/h fork (inner) is bent. Must have hit the kerb after the bike went down. The fork is an OE Ohlins 999S type. Two questions: 1. Presumably I must get the left-hand fork looked at as well as the damaged right-hand one? 2. Anyone recommend a firm that can mend the bent fork, assuming it isn't creased? Thank you very much for any advice and info. I'm off for a little cry now, and a few brandies and coke. :( |

Forks posted to K-Tech today. I'll find out next week what sort of trouble I'm in. Helpful and friendly on the phone, so a good first impression. Thanks for the suggestions, folks. |

You gunna have the internals modded whilst your at it? Or different springs etc? |
Andy, not sure what I would modify and the springs seem just about spot-on. I have bottomed out once or twice under extreme conditions, but all in all, I cannot see how they could be improved, for my level of riding anyway. That said ... any suggestions? :) |
