Tank Removal In need to swap the air filters back and presume that I need to remove the tank to get at them. Someone please explain in simple speak how to do this. Nee d to do the job tonight. Thanks. |
erm.... don't think you do need to remove the tank to do this... They are located on the outside of the airbox. You remove the air tubes to reveal the filters. |
1. Remove front fairing. 2. Remove air tubes by undoing 3x bolts each side where they're bolted to the airbox. 3. Remove air filters (without removing tank). 4. Refit standard filters, then air tubes, then fairing. |
Front fairing? Oh no! |

It's very easy. Remove side panels, mirrors, two bolts, back wheel ... actually, no, not the back wheel. :) |

Actually it was quite simple. One thing about these Ducs though. Removing is easy putting them back together is something else. Can't get nose cone 100% symetrical. |

That is very true. Taking the seat off is fiddley, putting it back on again can be infuriating. |
