carbon termis repair help I need some help. I had 2 loose rivets on my carbon termis so I have drilled them out but as I can't get the bits out of the pipes i drilled them all out hoping to take the silencer apart but I can't seem to do it :o Any ideas Guys [Edited on 14-8-2005 by AGE996] |
copper & hide mallet, gently tapping around the end caps should break the silicone sealant and drift the caps out. Just go steady. Once they're moving they come out pretty easy. |

Help I still can't get them apart  |
Why do you need to get them apart? Can't you just re rivet leaving the old bits inside the pipes. |

Hi This may help, further down the page are articles about coring the standard cans. http://www.ducatisuite.com/performancemods.html The advice about getting them apart may help. I hope its raining where you are and you are not wasting a sunny day  [Edited on 14-8-2005 by m1keyp] |

Surely the fibreglass should keep the bits in place. If I filled my pipes with marbles & spanners you wouldn't be able to hear it over the clutch noise. |
