Steering Damper (anyone used this type before)

Just had a look at this, looks good but was wondering if anyone has tried one of this type before on the 748 etc

I've seen a couple of the Scott ones around the race paddocks but never on a Ducati
The Monster one looks neat

hmmmmmmm

Apart from the obvious difference to a standard setup - whats the benefit??

When I was in Cartegena with the Dienza Ducati Team in 2003, I was told by both Steve Plater and Dean Thomas that the damper should be set to its lightest setting!!!!

Since then thats where it stays - so the argument for multi-adjustable dampers goes right out of the window on the track - FOR ME - but on the road I do have it clicked up to a slightly stiffer setting.

The Ohlins model reacts differently to high and low speed damping anyway.

Who rides along changing their steering damper to fit the ever changing road conditions?? If you do - you should really be concentrating on the road instead!!!

Also I think it looks crap - but thats my opinion - each to their own I guess.

Khushy
