What bike were the tyres tested on? Were the performance tyres tested in a controlled environment and timed on a track?
I usually use the Metzeler Rennsports and use my bike mostly on the track, but have been hesitant trying the new Pirelli in case it gives me some unwanted surprises.

Bike used were CBR600RR.GSX-R1000

Rennsports are in fact exactly the same rubber as Pirelli SuperCorsas (same company ....), and i guess these Diablo's are an evolution of the Supercorsas .....
so they should be very very good.

But like stephens - i'll also stick with the Supercorsas on the track for a while yet as they do provide excellent grip and feel.
