amber light what does it mean
 

looked in the manual but doesnt realy give you an answer :barfy:

it seems to be when its hot or when im at the lights

its the engine sensor daz! its telling the you via the bulb the bike is over loaded with metal & needs carbon:roll:

I had the same light come on so got some carbon ..... took quite a bit to make it go out :D

It means you have bought guest1's old bike.










Sorry Daz for that one, you wouldn't know the history but his amber light seemed to stay on all the time.

Welcome to the board and i think i owe you a drink for a totally useless reply, but its worth hanging around here as the cracks good, and some people are a lot more use than dunder heads like me.;)

my pc gone made! daz is a mate of mine,im just winding him up as i know how bad he wants to bling his pride & joy.

Amber Light, yes I have had a few experiences with those.

There's a sequence where by you hold the left clock button down and then turn the ignition on.
You should then see an error code on the clock display.

Search on board for error codes and you'll probably find the list that Nelly very kindly posted.

When you find out what the code means (e.g. sensor shorted) you can then go to your dealer or even Ducati UK and ask them where exactly the sensor is that is showing the fault.

A week later you'll get a reply along the lines of "errrr, dunno"

Sorry for being cynical and I shall now go a write out a hundred times "I must be postive"

Or, take it back to dealer and have them check out the code. Error code occurrences are stored in the ecu till wiped clean by dealer (?).

Doesn't it mean; Put bike in gear, rev's to about 7000, release clutch as fast as poss (with foot on back brake) and try to miss the last car crossing the junction from the right.
On approach, go down a gear and twist the right wrist till the safety stops nearly break your hand, shut your eyes, think of England and wipe Ar~e when arrived at your destination.

Or have I read the wrong manual :puzzled:
