Pop quiz... no it's not a music quiz, I have a question... To settle a 'discussion' here in the office Is there a standard format, ie BSi, for showing a date on a document? So far we have: 22.09.05 22/09/05 22 Sep 05 Is there a right and wrong? |
The safest policy, particularly if you deal internationally would be to write it 22 September 2005. Or 22 sep 05. This is because some countries put the month before the day. I'm not aware of any BSi format. |

Ah, cheers for the reference chrisw, ISO 8601 bring up another format... So we now have: 22.09.05 22/09/05 22 Sep 05 2005-09-22 (ISO 8601 - International Standard Date and Time Notation) I'm in agreement with Crunchy. Anyone bored yet?? [Edited on 22-9-2005 by NBs996] |
