999 recall

Just got home to a recall letter from Ducati, apparently there is a possibility that the oil cooler on some machines could fail and cause an oil leak - which could potentially leak on the rear tyre.
Anyone else??:(

Covered a few times about the site, Its quite an old recall. Depends on which type of cooler you have.

There seems to have been a spate of old recalls sent out. I just had one for the front brake hose P clip - which I had done last year sometime.

You shoudl be able to look at the top of the oil cooler from the front - if it's says Toyo it's OK, and if it says KTM then go get it changed. There were some KTM oil coolers that had push fit pipes instead of welded so they (could) come loose.

mmm... mine is covered in oily :o muck. Wiped it off and its KTM. Where are the pipes? I have the two braided pipes on the RHS (as you sit on the bike) which both have threaded nuts. Where would the push fit pipes be?:puzzled:
