Recall Had a nice registered letter from Ducati UK today informing me that my bike is subject to a recall (No. 563) to have a new clutch fitted.- "it needs to be replaced using a revised component to rule out out the possibility of it jamming, and preventing the correct actuation of the clutch" My bike is a 2001 996S. Anybody know what this is all about? Do you think they'ed fit me slipper clutch? |

I should be ok then as when my chain went through crank case I had earlier 996 motor fitted :( |
yeah i got one today for my 996R it definatly reads " the clutch on your ducati motorcycle needs to be replaced using a revised component" blah blah Bah was looking forward to a new clutch |
I have moved quite a bit so I doubt I'll get a letter. I'll ask my local dealer about it. |
yep my 996R needs to be looked at. Quite surprised at this as my bike is getting on a bit now. |
What is a 748F??? A 748S letter would be nice:o |
I preasume that the design changed after the 996 models so the 998 setries are not affected! |
