Sending an invoice to a big company for wasting my time... Help!! Right, I'm not a happy bunny at the moment. Just discovered that a certain satellite tv company have charged me £106 for last month (or this month) without any warning, and thus I had £60 less in my account than I was expecting and now I'm gunna get charged for another direct debit bouncing back!! (would have been plenty in there if Sky - oops, I said it, had taken £42 not £106!!!) So, I spent 45 mins on the phone - on hold!!!!!! and still never got through to anyone!!!!!!!! Got pee'd off and now I'm in a glorious mood, I'm gunna send them an invoice for my time, my phone call, and my bank charges. How can I word this fantastic letter? I've heard of people doing this and companies actually paying up. :flame::flame::flame::flame::flame::flame: [Edited on 29-9-2005 by domski] |
"Direct Debit Guarantee" dom, phone your bank and they should immediately refund the payment and hopefully not charge you for the resulting bounced DD. |
Anything extra, bill the cable company. I successfully billed my bank for a cock-up once so yep it's possible. |
gimme till tomorrow to dig out a brill letter for you Dom C:) ps: missed yer!:P:lol: |
Thanks guys, appreciate it :D |
I wrote a letter to SKY once for s**t service........Didn't even have the decency to reply. Same old story, bigger the company the less they care. |

Bl00dy communications companies! I changed my O2 account from monthly contract to pay as you go last July (After 5 years on a contract without getting a new phone every year...I must have made them a fortune). They said they would bill me up to September, so I cancelled my Direct Debit at the start of October. They promptly requested a further payment which bounced. Got a really ****ty letter saying they'd take legal action if I didn't pay (well, it was £16.47, so there was a lot at stake). After about three hours on the phone (put on hold, cut off, transferred, cut off, put on hold etc, etc), I finally got hold of a bloke who confirmed they had forgotten to turn off my contract, and said it was all sorted. Didn't hear anything else until I got a letter from a debt-collection agency last week (11 month's later). D1ckheads say they'll take me to court if I don't pay...suits me fine...GITS! Sorry about thread hijack...just seemed to be an appropriate place to let off steam....I'm off to watch the GP now...GO LORIS!!!!!!! |
