How easy to fit front number board

I'm thinking of sticking a white number board on front of bike as advertised on ebay. Are they easy to fit? Will they remove again if ness? Any one else bought from ebay?
This is mainly to hide the chip marks gathering at a high rate.
Cheers

get it painted - it'll look better

I've had 2, worked well for me.

Get the paintwork scrupulously clean, wipe with meths to remove any traces of polish, then wash.

Store the vinyl in airing cupboard overnight to get warm and supple.

Wet the fairing where its going and peel only a small piece of the backing paper off the vinyl, get it central and smooth down a small bit at a time to avoid air bubbles. Also use a hair dryer to keep the vinyl warm and flexible so it goes on better and when you come to any crease in the fairing moulding make sure you press the vinyl into the crease to stop it bubbling.

Be careful and patient follwing the instruction supplied. Do not rush it. Also a good idea to wear thin rubber gloves and avoid getting your fingerprints on the glue side as this can affect the glue.

Sounds fiddly but it works.

SOme people like Rattler prefer painted on number boards, but of course you still get the chips. I prefer the stick on ones for this reason.

They are removeable, but again you have to heat up the vinyl and take off verycarefully to avoid paint damage.

Can't you go the fairy liquid route with this? Gotta be easier?

i've had 3 of ebay and all have come unstuck round the base of the top light. it's a hell of a stretch even with a hairdryer.
2 of us did it and on the last 2 attempts i wrapped insulation tape tightly through top and bottom light and left it for 24hrs for it to go off and it still came unstuck after a couple of days.
as much as i like the board (does look good) i'm going for paint.

Paint it is then and I can then take it futher accross to hide some other chips
Thanks
