Air filters and \'FIM\' or \'PC\' thingies!

2 questions...

1st...I have carbon airtubes with no allowance for the standard filters. The bike is currently fitted with an undertank JHP big foam jobbie. I'm thinking of changing this to some form of smaller bell mouth/undertank or similar filter after the numerous posts I have read regarding pros and cons of each type of filter.

So...where can I get the type of filter that fits at the entry point of the airbox. I believe Felix once posted a piccie of such a filter (it fits over the hole where the airtube meets the airbox). I guessing this would probably be the best option for me.

2nd question.

In doing this mod, I'm guessing I would also like to get the bike set-up with one of the new FIM or PC units, and get it all sorted with a few dyno runs to suit the new filter set-up. However, my bike is a 1995 916SP...and I'm unsure if any of the new systems out there will work on this model, due to its age and type of ECU. Anyone know if I can get a PC or FIM unit for this model (yeah I know I can phone 'em, but thought I would ask here first!):P

Harv,

You could use a pair of these...

I have a couple of spare sets, unused, still in the bag if you are interested.

Fitting requires drilling holes above and below the airtube holes in the airbox to fit the nylon bolts.

Harv - if you flog off the filter I could be interested....and I think you have the big P thing like mine so FIM should be ok, works well for me! :)

Let me know how much Mike and I'll stick a cheque in the post unless you take paypal?

Nice one!

Now I just need to sort out the fueling...thanks for the info...mucho appreciated.

I'll let you know about the filter Paul, I'll just make sure the new ones work out OK first...if they do, my JHP one is yours.
