Just for the hell of it.. For no good reason, other than sheer indulgence, here's a flash-lit twilight pic of my pretty one. A '92 900. |
Very, very clean - nice work. Is that a Corbin seat I can see poking onto the tank - good arent they! WHite frame and black wheel seems to be the classic look most voted for on this site but it must be a swine to keep clean is it? Half fairing is nice but I just like the fully faired look myself - seems more - 'complete' and I'd forgot just how short the rear of the front mudguard is, must do something about that sometime... Thanx for the pic :) Frank |
Nice pic. My missus had a '91 900SS,(white wheels),lovely thing to ride. |
Yeah that's a Corbin seat Frank. Better than the OEM one for sure, but sometimes I think it rises too much at the front, resulting in bashed jewels. Still, I got it for a mere 47quid from M&P when they were selling off some stock cheap on ebay. I stripped the thing to its component parts about 2 years ago and had the frame powder coated. Likewise the clutch and alternator covers. The bike used to be fully faired but I always prefered the look of the half faired bike, with that beaut of an engine on show. The old fairings had started to look tatty after a few spills anyway. I don't mind spending time keeping it clean...I don't like knowing that a shiny fairing is hiding an engine caked in crud and decomposing road kill. |
