Battary and datatool alarm
 

well i don't think it will be long before the bike is dry stored over the winter. Last year i left the battary on the bike. Come summer battary no good replaced under warranty. How long is a warranty on a battary ? If i take it off will the alarm keep going off like on my ZX9r. Can any one help with this one.

Get yerself an Optimate battery charger to keep it topped up over the winter months.
Mind you,they dont seem to work as well on 'gel' batteries,best to charge it up once a fortnight or so.

:saint:I have a Datatool 'charger' and leave it plugged in all the time and never had a problem.I have heard of some peoples' batteries going flat so i guess it's just luck:lol:

no volts in the garage. i got one already.

you should be able to put the alarm into service mode.
Then take out the battery and look after it in the house.

if you need the alarm to work during storage, then get a cheap car battery and hook that up to the bike

Don't know about the battery, but the alarm shouldn't keep going off.
Stick it in service mode, take the alarm fuse out then get the battery off. The alarm battery will drain in a few days and stop beeping... when time comes to play again connect bike battery then put fuse back in the alarm and it should resume in service mode and recharge itself. Job's a good'n.
