The bikes might be Dogs but the Foods Good!!

The winners of the 2006 cookery contest are announced!

Luisa of Team Pedercini is the "Cook of the Year 2006", thanks to her magnificent recipes for Pasticcio Lasagne and Tortellini alla Bolognese. The tearful but delighted Italian team chef was awarded her trophy and a holiday worth 1000 Euros by 2006 World Superbike champion Troy Corser amid well deserved applause. The competition attracted cooks from all teams and organisations, and animated the entire paddock of the French Magny Cours circuit last Friday. A large number of mechanics and other personnel took part in the competition, which was nevertheless dominated by the chefs and assistant chefs, who came fully prepared, and fired by a spirit of true competition.
The inter-team competition covered a range of categories, all judged by popular jury. The prize for best buffet went to Team Zone Rouge, with Foggy Petronas in second place and Lorenzini by Leoni in third. Cook of the Year 2004 Karol Teruzzi from Team Yamaha Motor Italia again demonstrated her skill and professionalism by taking first prize in the "Main Course" category, with Zone Rouge and Foggy Petronas in second and third place.
In addition to overall winner Luisa, from Team Pedercini, the official jury, headed by Superbike and Supersport world champions Corser and Charpentier and by World SBK Chairman Paolo Flammini, also awarded prizes to Team Ducati SC Caracchi, Team PSG-1 Kawasaki Racing and Team Ducati Xerox.

Ducati Corse's Tiramsu is the best in the world - once saw Hodgson eat a tray of it

I coined a phrase on yesterday's BHC rideout - early doors we'd all suffered from a bit of Petronas with the weather - it was foggy and slow
