Your help please...website check Hi folks. Have uploaded my Brands BSB pics to my site. On each gallery page you "should" be able to 'jump' to a completely different page by clicking on the page number you want to get to. On my PC this is not working yet it does on the Donington BSB pages from where I simply copied the html code as I have done al season. Please could a few of you if you get a free moment go to the Brands pages and click on the various hyperlinks like to get back tothe BSB2005 page or to download the order form etc. These should all work.......but in true "IT let's wind Guy up stylee".........aren't on my system..... Thanks in advance for any help or time you can spare........ Gc ("doctor, doctor gimme the news...how do you tie the knot in a big fat noose") |
Guido - IE6 on XP sp2 All pages loaded up fine, went from home page to galleries, to motorbike racing to world superbikes to each of the brands pages. Click on picture and it magically appears in the current window. The backward, forward, up arrow links all seemed to be working fine and got back to main page no problem. |
Correction, Round 13, Brands WSB. The "Click here.." link on your page 28 (and other pages) is pointing to: <a href="file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Guy%20Cope/My%20Documents/My%20Webs/Cope%20Images/Galleries%20BSB%202005.htm"> whereas your working link on the start page is pointing to: "http://www.copeimages.com/Galleries%20BSB%202005.htm" Hope this helps. As Alan says, you have "local links" in some of the pages. Also, The image at the top shows as "not found" and when you look at the properties you see "file:////C: .... etc" which is a path to a local file on your PC and not a URL. The local paths only work when you are on the same machine, once you get remote access via internet you need a URL or else the local path ponts to somewhere on the client machine (i.e. MY computer here, instead of your web server!) |
Hiya Guy, Yep local links as the others mentioned. Piccys look superb as usual, even in the Firefox browser that I'm using of late. One comment - in the MRO series from Croft - there were only forward and back arrows - no page number selector as in previous areas. Well done - nice fast site. Frank |
