well car broke down sunday on way bike from bike show so had to drag the 996s out of the garage for the commute to camberley upo the m3, got soaked but bike went ok. anyway coming home at 6.30 down the m3 i have to say the headlight is the worst i have ever had on a bike. can i put a more powerful bulb in or are the electrics not up to it also went to the bike show sunday and bought a harris rear stand. noit having owned a single sider before how do i get the bike on it. do i build the stand then balance the bike upright while attemting to locate it or does it go in the bike while cranked over oh the light on the duke are now totally steamed up, any easy way to dry them out 999r looked spanky but overall very unimpressed with the show, apart from the poledancers on the superbike stand and the very helpful lady on the ducati stand cheers steve |
dunno about the rest, but the stand...mine is a ducati performance so should be same. put bike on side stand , locate paddock stand into axle (ALL the way in !!!) and then use seat strap (if BIP) and take weight off the side stand bringing bike vertical and push down on the paddock stand - should lift up nice and easy with no chance of falling over. I agree headlight not great, and mine does fog a bit too - just dries out though after a day. |
Remember these are race bikes that had lights fitted as an after thought. If you want to see where you are going at night buy an SV. I attach the Paddock stand same as per 'Misterpinks' comment. |
