How cheap/expensive is it to change them? I think I have to...

Btw I'm looking for a RH fork bottom without calliper mounting, if someone has got that for cheap...

I recon its cheaper to get them re chromed and reground. i looked into this earlier this year. The best quote i got was from ABE http://www.allbikeengineering.co.uk/html/forks.html
They do not have the std 600ss lowers but if you have showa monster ones they will be worth a try.
