Power-Mite Batteries Have a very dead Powermite battery. Need a replacment, but JHP want a fortune. Other than weight and size I don't see any advantage over a standard. Only trouble is am not sure if a scooter type battery will be man enough to turn the thing over. The Powermite is about 11x8x6cm's but I reckon I could get a 12.5x12.5x6 in the holder. Any suggestions where to start looking, and what number should I be looking for? I don't reckon amp/hour is the principle factor, more the cranking current available. Will be trawling through the RS catalogues when I get to work tomorrow. This is the duff battery [Edited on 13-11-2005 by yeti] |
I use a VERTA battery. sits in the small holder nice and snug. and cost about £30 or so [Edited on 13-11-2005 by keefer] |

They do on the race bikes - tiny! |
John, I always used a YTX7 without any issues. Turn the motor over without a problem. Just make sure you keep it well charged. |
Thats what's on it but it's a bit iffy. I reckon it's probably dead or dying. Best treat myself to a new one. |
