The 11-Year Quest to Create Disappearing Colored Bubbles Chemical burns, ruined clothes, 11 years, half a million dollars—it's not easy to improve the world's most popular toy. Yet the success of one inventor's quest to dye a simple soap bubble may change the way the world uses color http://www.popsci.com/popsci/science...cbccdrcrd.html |
Wow - what a great story. Discovering new substances must be amazing in itself but, actually creating them!!! I wonder if a Yellow Ducati paint could be created that turned a proper red when the engine was started :lol::lol:  Frank |

Brillliant idea! I reckon it'd want to turn red over a certain speed though, it being the faster colour? :burn: |
Yellow to red when Hot, probably possible with some sort of temperature sensitive paint, you can by drinking mugs where the logo/design changes with a hot drink in it. Maybe an idea for tyres that change colour when they are up to temperature, the end of cold tyre falling off excuses, or maybe I didn't notice the left hand side was still pink?? Ducati's can already turn black ink to red on bank statements!! Ray |
