:lol::lol::lol:

You forgot the 'tight', the duck and the ar$e

I'd like it, but there will be others.

I've already spent out on master cylinders for the 888 this month - might not seem like a lot but I'm spending £60-100 a month on bikes at the moment (not including tax, insurance and running costs) and it's as much as I can afford :(

As far as seat units are concerned, I know there's a painted up carbon one available but it has the number 4 of a goggle eyed whinging northern prat painted on it - and I've gone right off 'im so it's not going on :P

In any case, I've got a list of things to do on both bikes and for me, brakes, suspension and supension set-up, are the priorities on the T8 before the cosmetics

The other thing is that the 888 has now been layed up for the winter (thanks to Fordie's nice warm garage), so all I'll do is collect bits as and when ready to take a week off in spring for a fettling fest.

Never mind, the lottery is on tonight

Sparkin,

Where is this ready painted CF single seat unit, I may well be interested (if no-one else is....Jools?)
What would need to be done to standard strada sub frame to get seat unit to fit?

You'll need to remove a few Strada bodywork mounting pins and other sharp edges that stick out, but it's do-able. An alternative, would be to purchase my spare 888 SPO single seat frame. It's new, and siting in the loft.

$275 shipping is making a tidy profit for him. Stroke him a bit and ask for a more realistic price, tell him you have had parts shipped from the states before and cannot understand why his costs is so high. Also ffs don’t let him or anyone use UPS! As you will get sh#gged in every direction possible. If he wont help with a realistic shipping and more important a sensible customs declaration then you a right to walk away. Standard mail postal costs from the US are far cheaper than here, for example I just had a mate post me in a new crash helmet with spares visors and a new pair of gloves. All parcelled in the original helmet box, delivered in nine days
tracked and signed for…..postage cost….$38.00

Don't forget, there is always:

For Sale:

An unused QB Carbon 888 SP-style single seat in pre-coloured fibreglass plus a modified Strada subframe.

The seat is a perfect Ducati red so doesn't really need painting and has not yet been cut for the rear light so you can go LED if you fancy.
The subframe has had all of the pillion grabrails and brackets removed so that it doesn't rub on the seat unit, but retains the undertray, rear light and shock reservoir mountings.
The original fixing points at the bottom of the rear sidepanels are retained and spaced for fitting to the single seat unit.

SP-style seat pads are still available from Ducati, so why not convert to the SP look for a fraction of the price?

£200 ono for the pair.
