Mobile phone repairs - help needed pls. My handspring Treo 600 (bought from the dreaded FleaBay of course) was performing very poorly in terms of battery performance. So I sent to the USA and bought a long life (!) battery that seemed to install OK...... Now I have a Treo that does not perform AT ALL  It will not power up - nor does the charge light illuminate, I've tried re-installing the original battery - no go. So, does anyone know of a good mobile phone repairer - I know Handspring / Palm have their own repairers but buying another phone would be cheaper by the sounds of it. I have found a repairer myself who lists the fault on my phone: http://www.gsm-support.co.uk/?p=gsm-repair anyone tried these or others??? Cheers - Frank |
Sorry Frank, not many people go down this road anymore because phones are really consumables these days. It usually costs way more to repair than to replace so repair isn't cost-effective. Good luck! |
Cheers TP - if it was any normal phone I probably wouldnt even bother - but this is a PDA as well and I used to play my mp3's on it and quite miss it. My faith in technology is crumbling a bit these days :( Regards - Frank |
