electric dash cover with rev light Has anyone ever seen or fitted one of thease types of dash cover with the rev light made in to it I think made by trick moto costing £140 Thanks Jamie:saint: as on ebay too http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 [Edited on 7-12-2005 by Tinkler] |
That's the same one I got... from TechMoto No idea what it cost tho. The black box wired into the light has an adjuster screw to change the rev range when the lights come on. They built up one-by-one and when it's time to change they flash like f*** at you! [Edited on 8-12-2005 by NBs996] |
Very tacky::lol: |
carbon dash Is it hard to fit and set up and how adjustable is the rev lights:burn: |
Depends what you mean by hard to fit? You have to do a bit of dismantling, the most hassle I had was removing the bulb holders from the back of the clocks without breaking the wires. Then it depends how neat you want it all to look - I wired mine in by taking the pins out of the plugs and soldered the extra wires in, using heat shrink sleeving. There are those that would just bodge the wiring with scotch locks - it's up to you!Adjustment? The first l.e.d. comes on at 6 1/2, then the next at 7 and so on until they all come on at 10 1/2, there is a screw for altering it, if you want, but that would be a bit of trial and error, not difficult though, and a damn good reminder to shift to the next one when you start getting carried away! Mine was a present from my wife, bought from Tecmoto some years back, cost around £150.00! |
carbon dash Thats ok then are ther many wires you have to connect up to the bike from the unit Jst got one for £60 from power house + £5 delivery so that will finish my good ladys xmas present list for me :D THanks for all the info Jamie |
Made one myself - bought Datatool rev light for £30 off ebay and then made a sheet of carbon and cut it to shape. I've added a small push switch to the program wire of the rev light, so you can switch it between modes (graph, dot, flash only) as you're riding along. Works a treat: ![]() |
