K-Tech Fork Internals

I've just had the Showas resprung and revalved (20SSK) by K-Tech, but won't get a chance to try them out until after Christmas. I'd appreciate anyone who's had the same mod posting their thoughts as the day I picked the bike up from Nelly I met Mark Vernon who's pretty damn handy as a racer, who said he couldn't get on with the K-Tech mods on his gixxer and went back to standard.:o
Cheers

Not quite the same, but Chris (I think) @ K-Tech spent a Saturday morning swapping/changing and setting up the fork springs on my 999, and I've never looked back since to be honest and only cost me the price of the springs - you just can't do better than that

K -Tech internals in my 998 forks asked for road bias set up ,never looked back since were slightly soft for Cadwell ,but the confidence they give me is great i can brake right into the corner if choose to

Altough its not the SSk kit that i have ,out of interest how much was the job

Well pleased & very helpfull people as well :bouncy:

The whole lot including revalving, new springs, seals, servicing the rear ohlins at the same time and shipping to Nelly for refitting came to 414 inc VAT - pretty good I thought.
48.50 +vat - ohlins rear service
303.83 +vat for kit, seals, springs, machining, oil, labour etc

Most people seem to like the K_Tech kits - surely all the Superstock riders wouldn't use them if they didn't work - which was why I went for them in the first place.

Glad to hear that they seem to work for Ducs

:burn:

i have a ohlins spring kit in my showa's and they work really well, rich at louigimoto was very impresssed with them and guessed they werent standard showa's just by wheelieng it into his workshop

as you say the racers wouldnt use k-tech if they werent any good and its down to personal preference too you may love you may not but you dont these things until you try them

Slightly different, but, know a mate who races Super moto and swears by Ktech and their set ups.

I had my forks done by a another dealer from over here ,and decided to get K-tech to service them after two leaking fork seals ,after talking to the service guy I told himto rip out what was already there & put K -tech stuff in ,the other dealer had used K-tech stuff & some modified std stuff :o ,not quite what i was expecting
I have all the stuff in a wee bag in my garage worth £200ish acording to my bill
Once all the crap was taken out & the K-tech stuff put in along with the K-tech stuff already in & servicing both forks it came to another £240 ish
Once put back on the bike it was a dramatic change for the better
Sould have went K-tech in the first place
Customer service is excellent which always gets my vote :D
