On my outlook express, for the last couple of days i have had about 800 emails from 'mail delivery system' mail returned?

I have virus,spyware and spybot but none of them pick it up.

Any experience with this problem anyone?

Should spam killer catch it, did have the Mcafee one but it slowed my computer down terribly so i deleted it

any help appreciated

Sounds like someone out there has a virus, not you and is spoofing your address and sending mails to other addresses and their mail system is bouncing the mail back as undelivered to what is thinks is the senders address - you!

Not much you can do as there is no malicious content just a NDR, you could set up a rule with various common words/phrases within OE to try and delete these upon receipt, but that would only catch a percentage, and may also delete legitimate emails if the rules are defined enough.

Best thing you can do is contact everyone who may have your email address and ask them to update their AV and scan their machines in the vein hope it's one of them.
