DVD rippers....
 

I want to put some DVD's in DIVX or AVI on to my pc so I can store them on personal media player for watching in the car...anyone suggest a good programme to do it? I have downloaded a few sharewares but none seem to really do the job, or they do 80% then you have to pay, but you dont know if it works...???

Auto Gordian Knot, best DVD to DIVx/XVid software you can get and it's free...

You also need something like AnyDVD http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html to let you copy/convert the DVD 'cos most are protected by CSS (copyright crap). It's not like you own the DVD or anything....
