Wine Drought

Just got back from Cuba and have had to lay in to a decent bottle of white as the wine out there is PANTS! So U2U messages and all other items of interest on the board, including comments about Pronto (which I wasn't distributing this time as I was away) will be addressed in due course.

Shaun - great picture! Just checked my post to make sure I got my copy and boy do you look a HUNK!

Read The Long Way Round on holiday. I'm even more inspired to do a bit of touring next year, sorry this year, but only when I can get into a decent 4* hotel at the end of the day. I've had enough of bad plumbing and beggars in Cuba to guide me in the direction of some proper European resorts for my next hot holiday.

Happy New Year to All

Ruth :sing::sing:

PS I've brought back some Cuban cigars for my BHC boys too ;););)

Hi Ruth, Glad to hear you enjoyed your Hols, I did wonder where you were,
Keith said you were away,
Have you been looking for a new boy friend in cuba then? I would have thought you could have got two or three for a couple of quid;) And a Morris Oxford thrown in as well:lol:

Ps I shall look forward to the cigar

Marko, I still have my old boyfriend ...

I could have phrased that better :devil:

Just been chatting to Ali. Mentioned that Mum and I were put into room No. 101 three times. Spooky or what (for those of you who follow Paul Merton's TV shows).

Glyn - PAY ATTENTION - cigar to follow x

And Butch, I appreciate your diplomacy as we booked at short notice and I now have a strong letter of complaint to write to the tour organiser. :flame:

DID I say he was old:D

BTW How did you get on with having your 996 and your minnie valeted??
cleaned

Redruth 04-Jan-2006 20:02

Nearly bought a digital camera so I could show everyone my Minnie and Mucky side by side in the garage, all sparkley and clean. 996 on rear paddock stand (awaiting my purchase of trickle charger as the battery was flat when we tried to start her). The Fireman (valet) couldn'tbelieve I couldn't get her up onto the stand but watched me trying and realised it is actually very difficult if you have no upper body strength.

Ruth, good to see you back:D - but not as glad as you seem to be!

So, the only good thing was the weather then??:puzzled:

Look forwards to catching up next week

Fancy a trip to NZ? The wine here's not bad and our whites are particularly good. Dry, warm roads and no traffic.....

Pity is ****ing down and blowing a gale
