running rough, cutting out I've removed the choicer parts on my 748 prior to selling incl. 50mm full system. I bought some stock cans which the t*sser selling them assured me were 50mm but are in fact 45mm. I fitted them just to get the bike running but it now runs very rough and cuts out unless I hold the revs at around 3k. Would smaller stock pipes have such an obvious effect? Unfortunately I re-routed the throttle cable at the same time so I can't tell if the cable adjustment is set at normal start-up revs. Bike has sps heads and PC111, and has always run pretty well on 45/50mm half system or 50mm full system, incl. stock 50mm cans for mot. I think you might of answered your own question... I'd doubt it would make that much difference, but rerouting the throttle cable might be the problem |
cans Oi T***er yourself, i assured you they were 748R cans not 50mm! Do your own ******* research! http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xm....php?tid=28088 |
Hmm, since you jumped in... I asked you before I bought them if they were 50mm, you said you thought so. When I received them and pointed out that they were 45mm in a pretty reasonable way, you seem to take it as some kind of insult. Frankly if I sell something on here or Ebay, and the buyer isn't happy with it I refund them; obviously you have a very different attitude. |
hmm cant see why you would bother telling someone they are 748R cans. I wouldn't give a toss if they were off Christ almighty bike. just need to know if they are 50 or 45mm. anyway. I think its down to the fact they are more restrictive, have you changed the chip to suite them ? although if you mean by re route the throttle cable you undid it at the throttle housing then I suppose it is possible you have wound it in to far. wind it out some before trying again. and you should be able to continue adjusting with the side panel off if need be. good luck |
