does anyone know if this clutch from a 1990 model will fit my 93?

You would be better off with new parts. Friction plates and springs don't cost too much. Easy to fit yourself. Then you can be sure you have solved the problem.

suppose so, just cash is short at the moment, trying to move out from the parents house...

How much is a clutch and spring set? maybe a pattern one...

Don't think pattern ones are available, and genuine are around £80

Jebus! Didnt realise they were so expensive... time to sell the rgv250 methinks... anybody want one???
Battery is now on charge after topping it up with some de-ionised water, it was virtually empty. hopefully should start tomorrow, fingers crossed...
