749 05 model tickover How are the 749 05/06 model on tickover i.e. do they cut out at lights and junctions or has the tickover problem been resolved Thanks Mark |
some have problems but its usually sorted at first service :) |
Probably the same as the '04s - I'll be they still stall. |
i was told that the 05 model was sorted , no stalling/tickover problem, i am now checking with the masses mark |
Mark, I've got '05 749 Dark with about 1400 miles on the clock. Mine seems to stall when the temp is below 68 deg C. I did a run up the M40 from London yesterday morning ('kin cold I can tell you). Engine temp was sitting on/around 68 deg C mark. As I came off the motorway at the services it was stalling at every junction I had to pause at. Built the temp back up while I was parked up and had no problem. I had thought about getting the tick-over adjusted when I go in for my next service as it's becoming a pain. Jiminy |
Hi Mark, I have an '05 749S and have not had any problems at all. |
Every report I have heard is that the problem was sorted out for '05. I have an '05 S and it has never stalled on me one time (knock on wood) that wasn't my fault:lol: I've been running mine completely stock, Termi system w ECU, and then added a PCIII. Tickover has always been a steady 1200 or so, and none of my mods made a difference. Operating temperature has also never made a difference on mine regardless of outside air temp. |
'05 749 bi-p. Mine stalls pretty much every trip once or twice. Hopefully get it fixed when it comes out of hibernation.... |
