916 forks on a 748 ?

Can someone tell me if 916 forks are same as ones used on a 748BP ?

should be fine.
just make sure the 916 fork bottoms fit your type of caliper, the newer calipers are 65mm spacing, the old (916) are 40mm.

What do you mean by spacing ?

The distance between the mounting bolts changed from the original Brembo fitment of 40mm and used a M10 bolt with a 1.5mm thread pitch, to the later 65mm distance/spacing and changed to a bolt with a 1.25mm thread pitch but still a M10 (10mm diameter)bolt.
