Interesting stufff...I have a 6inch Marchi on my 916, so ideally I need a 190/55 to do the business, but most makes (pirelli diablo etc) only do a 190/50.

However, they say that Dunlop 208's are now available in 190/55's and that clearance may be an issue with the swingarm...but I remeber from the JHP visit that I saw a 999 with a 190/60 209GP fitted...whats that all about!!!?????

They are fantastic, what is the craic though, how come a set of part worn, soft compound race tyres last better than a set of road tyres ???

I'd say, you're obviously not trying hard enough :lol::lol:

I ran for a summer on the road with michelin race intermediates , threw in a track day as well. they were well good and wore well and even also.

most of the performance tyres are way more than you will ever need on the road
save some money and get some nice hard macadams
