Domain Name/Web Hosting Question Hello, Having a Domain Name/Web hosting with "easyspace" up for renewal, was thinking I am paying to much. any ideas should I stay or go? am I right in saying its easy to tranfer a domain name to another web hosting company. regards TopiToo |

It's easy to transfer a domain name, but you'll probably have to pay £40 to do so. The new company will normally accept it for free - they just sting you when you go. |

 Easyspace charge £49 - I just had a look. |

Hello domski thanks mate, will renew I guess as it alot less than trying to move. I have had the domain name for years, hope to get a website sorted out this year, trying to get my head round Dreamweaver, its ok. But I don't come from a HTML back ground, Ok with the graphics side though. regards TopiToo |

I don't use Dreamweaver - it's too complicated for a simpleton like me. I use Frontpage 2000. I know, I know, it's amazing that I can produce such incredible websites using old hat software, LMAO.:lol::lol::lol::lol: |

 God, and I thought £12 for transferring a domain name from freeola to 123-reg was a rip-off ! |

Hi Dom, if I start from scratch..wich Company should I contact to buy a webspace? And which software to play building a webpage? |
|
123 REG for domains and hosting (they also don't charge you to move your domain away - should you ever want to) Then I would use Microsoft Frontpage to design your site with. It's very user friendly and easier to learn than Dreamweaver (which seems to complicate everything in my opinion). Last of all I use FTP Surfer to upload my sites to the webspace - It's freeware, so free!! I like free :D |
