999 Single Sided Swinging Arm

Yes or no? I quite like it. Its the only one i've seen.

looks awful, the 999 is altogether too heavy a looking bike ... just looks like its about to fall off ......

ericthered40 22-Jan-2006 16:22

Why

PDL 22-Jan-2006 17:37

IMHO it looks better with the beefy double sided arm

Lee1980 22-Jan-2006 17:56

Yep i love the single sider on 748/9**'s but think the newer box type arm on the 749/999's suite them way better ;);)

Carbon749 22-Jan-2006 20:15

The 749 / 999 is an evolution of the 748 / 9**. Keep the 2 styles different, I don't think they mix.

I bought a pair of Casoli twin carbon cans to fit my 749 that were styled on the 748 twin termi cans.

Spent half a day fitting them, started the bike, stood back and looked at them. Then spent the next couple of hours taking them off. Did not even ride the bike it looked so wrong.

Thank god for E-bay, sold them for more than I paid for them :D

I believe Chili tried it on his race 999 before ditching the whole idea and raced the 998 1/2
