would this fit my 748bip its got a sachs shock on it anyway but is a bit corroded..

Also as bike is stripped down im going to do the valve clearances tomorrow .ive got a haynes manual etc was wondering if there was any other threads i could look at etc . I looked but couldnt find any,i am quite mechanicaly minded as i was a mechanic for 7 years but have never done a desmo before ..

Any advice would be appreciated

I was just thinking the same as I added it to my watch list about 15mins ago along with a few of Jims other items, also bid on a few bits.
That shock is like new.
As I'm off to the Bike show on Monday I may try and pop around Jims afterwards.

been on watch for a few days now and its been on before just keep fogetting to bid for it.....

Mmmm, thought the 749 shock would not fit the 748, as I was looking at fitting a 749 ohlins to my 748, but was told it would not fit???

whats the reason it wouldnt fit ?? is it to long etc It does looks exactly the same as the one already on mine just a bit cleaner tho....
